Home Sickness

So, long time between updates huh? Well true-believers, life has been okay lately. I have a history of sinus problems and the weather as of late has not been helping me. I finally did break down and make an appointment to get some druuuugs later today. I'm sick of being sick. :) The BF is sick of me being sick (I'm admittedly pissy and very little libido when I'm sick, but he's dealing very well with that even though he's been sick too ;)

I went back home to old Mississippi last weekend to help my Mom with a few home repairs. I also dropped off a VERY heavy 35" Sony Trinitron CRT Television (that was obsoleted by my 50" Samsung DLP :) and I am sure it would have been hilarious watching us try and move that TV from my car to the tablestand where she had me set it up. We almost dropped it and then we laughed the whole time going "Do you have it?", "Yes (grunt)", "Are you sure?", "Yes (grunt) Mom". I helped her rescreen the front porch doors, hang up a curtain rod, and fix some outside She thinks that it's funny that I, the person who used to complain about manual labor as a teenager, am so gung-ho when it comes to home projects in my later years LOL :)

Speaking of house projects, I finally finished my new Alfred Gockel print set:

The picture doesn't quite do them justice ;) I should also be finished with a piece for my sister that I promised her like last December! David and I are also going to play with making him a piece or two to try and decorate some areas of his house.
Things with the BF are going well still. We're working through some of our challenges a day at a time. We both joined a bowling league and have really enjoyed that...well since we were both sick last time, our performances TOTALLY SUCKED! And I mean "gutterball" sucked. I do smile when I get a message from some guy saying, "Wow, your BF is a really lucky guy" and I do have to agree ;) But we're both lucky really...we have a real connection (and the sex is amazing BTW which really helps) and we are definitely friends and we laugh alot (most often when we're trying to be serious and make whoopie LOL).

Well it's lunchtime and then I have to head to the Doc's! On my way home I FINALLY have to see about getting my car repaired from my softball coach backing into me. I told David he needed to bug me about that or else I'll ignore it. Hopefully it's not out of commission too long. I love my car. :)
