I get the hint!

So I got an e-mail from one of my readers that said:

"No update in a month... that must mean u and Sean are back together."

Even Sean commented that we need to break up every so often so I can keep up. Do please pardon my lack of updates but things have been HECTIC. After my wisdom teeth came out, it took me a good month to recover. I was on hydrocodone yet again for about three weeks.

But yes, things are going well with Sean and I. There have been a couple of minor speedbumps, but as I've said before, "If relationships were easy, everyone would be in one!" I think the month off did both of us good.

Sean is closing on a new house next Monday and I am trying to keep him sane. He's such a worry wart that he isn't getting any sleep. :( We have been shopping for furniture on Craigs List and THAT has been fun. I bought him a dresser that I will be refinishing for him as a house warming. Should be fun. I have never refinished anything before so it will be something new to learn.

We were looked at a couch for Sean late one afternoon and after we saw it, we had to go get cash out of an ATM. While in the car I was asking things like "Well...will it fit? Is it the color you had in mind? So...the thing makes an 'L' like this *hand gesture*, is that how you wanted the layout of the room to go?" Yes...I am a Design Fag. I think I've watched too many shows on HGTV and TLC. All of a sudden Sean's face got really flushed and he starts yelling at me:

"WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME THIS NOW? I DON'T KNOW! I JUST WANT A COUCH! I LIKE THE COUCH! AND I AM NOT MEANING TO YELL AT YOU! I AM NOT MAD! I AM JUST SO FU*KING HUNGRY I CAN'T STAND IT!"

I got really quiet for a minute and said, "Ok."

He sighs and apologizes and says, "I'm sorry, I just need something to eat. It's not you, these are all good questions and I really need for you to ask them...oh look, there's a Chic-Fil-et" and steers the car to the right hand lane to turn in.

I close my eyes, brace myself, and say placing my hand gently on his knee, "Babes...it's Sunday."
...

...
He screams and just had to laugh at the irony of it all.

Thankfully, with all this house/furniture stuff going on, we got to get out of town and forget things for awhile. This past weekend we went with my softball team, the Woofs Wackers, to Birmingham, AL to compete in a softball tournament. I played catcher for the tournament and I got two good plays at home and almost tagged this guy out (in the process practically bending my arm backwards like a Gumby doll).

Sean didn't get to play, but my Coach added him to the roster just in case we needed a runner. I'm hoping to train him up a bit as I think he'd enjoy playing. Right now he's having a really good time with Flag Football. Unfortunately, my softball practice is often during his games so I may have to skip out on practice a couple of times since I want to support him as much as he supports me and my (softball) addiction.
