Don't Surrender, cause you can win, in this thing called love..." - Celine Dion, That's the Way It Is

*grin* What an incredible weekend! I am ready to face the universe with a recharged energy. Thursday I got the internals to my car repaired and now just have to deal with getting the radio/cassette replaced. I hope they haven't already processed the radio/cassette because there's a CD / CD changer control that is SO much better. I'll call first thing in the morning :) I was supposed to fax them something on friday. I hope my insurance company didn't get to them first! :) Saturday was a lazy lazy saturday. Stayed out at the pool for three hours and drank magaritas with my friends. After that we were off to my friend Barry's house and what did we find there? His upstairs faucet in the bathroom decided it was going to attempt to rival Niagra Falls. After finding water ALL over the bathroom floor and the pipe under the sink kind of broken we then heard a strange spattering. Well the leak must have been on for quite some time because the basement has flooded. Luckily Barry had a wet vac so he, me, and my friend Tim were able to contain the mess in an hour and a half. I pretty much tried to do most of it. I could see Barry was a bit upset so anything to help a friend ya know?

Well after that Drama, I created a little drama of my own. :) I have a penchant for doing that. So Barry's friend Bobby was in town with these two twenty year olds (one gay hick and his fag hag). They were totally antisocial until we got them a little liquered up. Then at dinner I proceeded to launch into my comedy routine that I use at Hoedown's when I teach. :) (That means "pick a victim and make fun of them" *grin mischiviously*) I made sure they knew my attacks were all in jest. :) Apparently (according to Barry), they just loved me :) It's funny how people can just adore you after you insult them repeatedly :) (It was all in fun...well...most of it *giggle*)

So Sunday was a BRAND new DAY. Laid out at the pool (AGAIN) and got even darker. I really feel so much better with a tan than without. You know how it is. When you feel you look good, you naturally feel better. So I did get to do some of my grocery shopping (how domestic) and then actually worked for about two hours. Had to upgrade a web server on one of my machines during it's "offtime". It took me some fiddling (expected) but I got it done fairly easily.

Then I had the urge to go to they gym so I went to Hoedown's *grin*. I call the country bar my "gym" because I DO and I mean I DO get a workout when I go. I am pretty much always on the floor, doing 90% of the two-steps and 95% of the line dances. I get upper body (because I usually have to lead) and I get a good leg and cardio workout. Had a good time and met a nice guy named Michael. Gave him my number so we'll see if he calls. He did have a great smile and was entertaining to talk to.

But tomorrow is going to be my day. I have a few tweaks to one of my projects (wireless networking). Then it's a Roswell night! Jason Behr...mmmm.

Until next time, stay sexy,

"There are times I swear I know you're here When I forgot about my fears Feeling you my dear Watching over me My hope sees Of what the future will bring When you wrap me in your wings And take me" - Jessica Simpson, Where You Are

Today is a bit melancholy I guess. The dismal weather bringing back memories of a time less fraught with grey. It's not that I'm unhappy, it's just that I am concerned about someone that I think about almost daily. What he's doing. If he's happy. I'm not sad really, I guess I might be wishing for a time that never will be...but was...at least for a while :) So yesterday was quite the adventure. Posing for People Art Productions. I really don't consider myself all that, but I was flattered at the request so I decided to go and at least experience it since this is probably my last time through the loop.

What do I mean? Well I have somewhat of a belief that reincarnation is a possibility. That the universe is such a big place that we need multiple trips through it in order to move to the next level. Some of us are what you can call "new" souls. We all know them instinctively. The characteristics are a bit vague, but generally you just KNOW if you are at all tuned to people. At the far end of the spectrum, you have people like me. "Old" souls who have been there, done that, and are here to learn a final lesson or two before the next. Sometimes I feel that I just KNOW that's what I am...an "old" soul. Maybe I'm full of crap, and it doesn't matter if I am or not :) What matters is that I learn what I am supposed to learn in this life, because I believe that's why all of us are here.

Just to clarify, being an "old" soul doesn't make you boring or wise or better than anyone else. What it does give you is a clarity of vision of life. The ability to understand others and to give of yourself without expecting anything in return. That's the Karmic Principle...my primary belief.

Jesus once was quoted as saying "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." I'm no religious fanatic, but this really describes how I believe things work. You do good (by what you believe to be good) and good will happen. You do bad (causing negative energy) and bad things will happen. Also wrapped up in this is my belief that things happen for a reason. You take any experience you've had and there is ALWAYS something that you learned from it. No matter how insignificant.

I haven't figured out what I'm supposed to learn, but that's something we all have to wrestle with. Hopefully before the end I'll know or else I'll be seeing ya next time!

Bah! Enough of this melancholy nonsense! :)

"Reasons for living, never come cheap, even your best once put me to sleep..." - Duncan Sheik, Reasons for Living

Today was a good day. A lazy day after yesterday's hectic pace of mi vida loca. *yawn* Yesterday a few friends and I decided to hang out by the pool and drink a few cocktails (to which we ended up in a nice little buzzy haze). After that we ended up at "Las Magaritas" (my new favorite restaurant) for dinner and more margaritas. Dinner was done and it was time for a disco nap at the house. Then we went dancing at the Atlanta Eagle (where they do have some of the BEST music in Atlanta).

Today I hung out with one of my close friends and watched TV and shot the bull for a few hours. Very relaxing day since this week is going to be heck! Got lots of projects that are coming to a head and they have to be done SOON. I might have to put in some overtime this week. :(

A new adventure tomorrow though. I was asked by People Art Productions to model for them. I've never done anything like that and their portfolio is very tasteful. We'll see how things go and I'll report back here!

But now it's time for a little internet fun...might chat or play Unreal Tournament. Dunno, the night is young and so am I!

Till next time
